Red Arrow International to showcase a diverse slate of new Shows at MIPCOM

Red Arrow International is heading to this year’s MIPCOM to launch a broad slate of new shows across formats, factual and scripted genres.

Red Arrow’s Buying Blind is a radical new reality format that sees a family put their life savings in the hands of experts to buy them a home – without ever having seen it! Created by Kinetic Content and produced by Snowman Productions, the series is currently performing well on TV3 (Denmark).

More new reality formats include: The Spouse House, a smash-hit show on TLC (US) created and produced by Kinetic Content, which follows 14 single people searching for the love of their lives, who move in to the Spouse House in the hope of leaving married; extraordinary new format Pregnant with a Stranger, produced by Snowman Productions for Kanal 4 (Denmark), that sees single women, all of whom have already decided to have a baby, given help and support from a team of experts to find the right father for their child; and State of Hate, a radical and timely new experiment from Snowman Productions for Kanal 5 (Denmark), that looks to end the bitter rivalries between groups of people divided by hate, through a series of intense challenges.

New entertainment formats include Music of the People, produced by Art89 for SVT (Sweden), that sees music bands from different cultural heritages reinterpret a popular local song; and fun new cooking competition Shop! Cook! Win! from RedSeven Entertainment for kabel eins (Germany), where celebrity chefs secretly observe shoppers in a supermarket, and then cook up a storm in the shopper’s own kitchens.

Red Arrow International’s factual lineup includes A Matter of Life and Debt (15 x 1 hour / format), produced by Curve Media for the BBC (UK), which goes behind-the-scenes at community-based credit unions to tell the inspiring, real-life stories of people who take out loans; The Story of Toys (6 x 1 hour), a playful look at some of the world’s most iconic and international toys, produced by Pernel Media for France 4 (France); and Strike Carrier (3 x 1 hour), an epic new documentary from Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Chris Terrill for the BBC (UK) and the Smithsonian Channel (US), about life on board the largest, most advanced and powerful warship ever constructed in Britain, produced by STV Productions and Uppercut Films.

An impressive drama slate is led by new crime series Stella Blómkvist (6 x 1 hour / 3 x 90’), from Sagafilm for Síminn (Iceland) and Viaplay. Heida Reed (Poldark) stars as quick-witted lawyer Stella Blomkvist, in this stylish neo-noir crime drama that’s as sexy as it is dangerous. Also launching at MIPCOM is Season Two of smash-hit crime procedural Einstein (20 x 1 hour) starring Tom Beck, produced by Zeitsprung Pictures for SAT.1 (Germany).

Henrik Pabst, Managing Director of Red Arrow International, said: “Our diverse new slate for MIPCOM includes a range of genuinely bold and ambitious shows, that do not shy away from tackling difficult questions and challenging the status quo. We are proud to be working with some of the world’s most talented third-party producers, alongside Red Arrow’s hugely creative network of production companies, and are looking forward to taking our new slate out at MIPCOM.”

Red Arrow International will exhibit at MIPCOM at stand P4.C10.
