Award-Winning Unscripted TV Production Company Hires Seasoned Executive to Expand Slate into New Genres

Acclaimed independent production house 44 Blue Productions, the creators behind hits such as A&E’s Emmy-nominated Wahlburgers, E! Entertainment’s #1-rated Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry and Animal Planet’s #1-rated Pit Bulls & Parolees, has hired innovative television executive Dan Snook as Senior Vice President of Development. Snook will be working with the development team on the creation and sale of new ideas across cable, broadcast, syndication and digital platforms.

Snook joins 44 Blue Productions from Warner Bros./Shed Media, where he was Senior Vice President, Development and oversaw Shed’s successful multi-genre slate for four years, developing and selling shows such as Lifetime’s Child Genius and Glam Masters, Oxygen’s Criminal Confessions, NBC’s First Dates and Genius Junior, VH1’s Baller Wives and a wide range of content for networks ranging from Discovery to TLC to E!.

Before joining Shed, Dan served as SVP Development at UK indie Firecracker Films, directing their US strategy, generating original IP and helping in the sale of Firecracker to Tinopolis. He started his career at 3Ball, where he rose from development producer on shows such as Biggest Loser and Beauty & the Geek to SVP Development, where he created one of the company’s longest running series, Spike’s top-rated Bar Rescue.
